For the good - Similar to the same drug prescription that heals in ways, then harmful to the body in other ways. An old truthful saying, “The good suffers with the bad.” For example in school when students act out or the terrible decision making of leaders including governmental officials impacts the innocent.
First let’s give some biblical truths of the GOD IS sovereign (He rules the universe-yet gives mankind a free will to accept Him), preeminent (supreme absolute authority Colossians 1:15-18), above creation, all powerful and all-knowingly (Psalm 147:5).
More on GOD IS: El Shaddai is the Hebrew name that means the LORD God Almighty in English. Also known as the All Sufficient One which speaks of God’s power over man-woman’s frailty; Jehovah Rohi-The LORD is my Shepherd. Psalm 23:1 “I shall not want.” What are your needs today according to God’s will and promises for family, self, friends, neighbor, community, country and world.
Our Shepherd knows you and me, His sheep; and we know Him. The Shepherd’s watch over us includes His love, care, guidance and protection. When we stray away our Shepherd doesn’t just sit waiting for our return home like “late from keeping curfew.” He already knows where we are, seeks our hearts and desires we draw nearer to Him. We may already feel some guilt. Then our Shepherd may allow some stuff to happen to nudge us back to Him. Luke 15:3-5 "And He spoke this parable to them, saying," "What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, does not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?" "And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing” Luke 15:3-5. Read further vs. 6-7.
Then Jehovah Jireh-The LORD will provide. Jireh, the Hebrew word, means not only to provide but the LORD perceives-He knows everything and many personal life and ministry difficulties. Remember Jesus faced, endured and outwitted the religious leaders’ tricks and schemes. Then Read Matthew 4:1-11 where satan tried to tempt Jesus three times to sin against God. One example is verse 4 “But He [Jesus] answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.” We should say or can say what Jesus said when facing temptation. No need to forsake your godly attributes since it may be said, “Curse them out for lying on you since God will forgive you!”
Also while living on earth Jesus experienced emotions like frustrations, sorrows, disappointments and anger. Jesus had to flee, escape for His life since the people tried to push Him off a cliff for something He said. They failed to understand the truths. It was not yet His time to die. Read Luke 4:28-30.
Now the time arrived for Jesus’ crucifixion on the cross. He endured the agony, grief, pain and shame on the cross for all of us. Like to note. While hanging on the cross Jesus made provisions for His mother (John 19:25-28). Similar to many of us, making provisions for loved ones so they would not be alone and have support. Now He freely gave His sinless body as a living sacrifice for our sins and more.
GOD IS Love… GOD IS more than we can express, GOD IS beyond our imaginations, visions and dreams. Thanks to GOD IS for His Sovereignty, Supreme Absolute Authority, El Shaddai, Jehovah Rohi, Shepherd and more!
