A CALL TO REPENTANCE

As parents and caretakers our children and grands received good gifts, rewards, promises, discipline, consequences and praises to help mold positive character; to correct and hold them accountable for what they say-said and did-done. Many grew up in the church learning godliness. We reiterated what they learned at church and taught moral values at home. We followed the "Footsteps" of our moms, grandmothers, other relatives, neighbors and friends reiterated church attendance which included youth activities, Youth Days and more to increase excitement and the love for Christ and His church, despite our imperfections. Blog title, A CALL TO REPENTANCE focuses on a personal invitation, healing of the land, getting God's attention, accountability and My Reflection Activity. A must read.

We now ponder yours’ and my life regarding obedience to the LORD’S commands that results to receiving God’s promises because we kept His commands. Numbers 23:19 paraphrasing “God is flawless, He does not lie like man. He will do what He said. The LORD has follow through. As parents or caregivers we are  flawed, made promises that we failed and/or were unable to keep due to circumstances. So welcome to #Monday Inspirational Message,  A CALL TO REPENTANCE   

We are reminded of God’s personal invitation to believers. Second Chronicles 7:14 “If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin and heal their land." A personal invitation with a promise to heal yours’ and my land of wickedness, violence, envy, greed, crime, hate, abuse, neglect, famine, sickness, diseases and pestilences; the negative impact of climate changes that disrupts the environment; as well as impacts the lives of individuals, families, schools, workplaces, church and community; local, state, national and international governments, world issues including despair and devastation. 

Note this invitation from God is not for the world’s repentance with a promise. He is calling those called by His name, those Bible or digital Bible carrying believers that discriminate against others; those who say they “Love Jesus,” but does not love their blood nor spiritual brothers and sisters; those who does not love other races nor ethnic groups; those who are supposed to help the needy, but steal from the poor and give to the rich; those that live by the flesh instead of the Holy Spirit; those bearing false witness against their neighbor or intentionally lie on others for selfishness or personal gain; and/or those things we do in the dark, but are exposed by the LIGHT of Jesus. Thus, there are no hiding places from God Almighty.

There is more. What about those of us that are called by His name to higher standards as preachers and teachers of the Word; and leaders in other ministries. Consider your light. Does it shine like Christ? Or does your light fade in/out?

We thank God for the regular churchgoers and those who participate online that takes in and live by Your Word.  We thank You for those believers that see no need to connect with the body of Christ, but serve You O LORD in their own way and thirsts more for You. Yet Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and come short of the glory (Character) of God.” None other than Christ is sinless; therefore all need to continually seek You LORD with a repentance heart, filled with remorse, humility and thanksgiving. I humbly submit myself to You, LORD, I pray, seek Your face, Your presence, Your attention, and I turn from my wicked ways; then LORD You said, “You will hear me from heaven, forgive my  sins and heal my land."   

Now LORD thanks for calling me to repentance and healing my land of wickedness, violence, envy, greed, crime, hate, abuse, neglect, famine, sickness, disease and pestilence; the negative impact of climate changes that disrupts the environment; as well as the lives of individuals, families, friends, schools, workplaces, church and community; local, state, national and international governments, world issues of despair and devastation. including despair. I pray that all are saved and none are lost.  I hold steadfast to my faith LORD, because You said it in Your Word-You are a God that does not lie. I praise, magnify and honor You LORD, In Your Son, Jesus’ Name I Pray, Amen!!! As always peace, love, and joy, Neatbooks4u
