Yours’ as well as my God given assignments have changed or increased upon maturity in Christ; in addition we become more skillful, knowledgeable and/or increase wisdom to serve or help others. Whatever the assignments are we must submit ourselves to God’s will and way. Look up scriptures on God’s will and way for your life. We are to also share God’s love and the forgiveness of our sins with compassion and without judgment. We acknowledge all have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory. Fallen short means we cannot compare our best to be greater than God, because He is perfect. Then many times we are so busy, consumed with personal passions that we are unfaithful to God. I have been very guilty of this one. Had to ask for forgiveness prior to moving forward. Also there are times must remind myself to stay on track. Maybe this can help you too. Remaining on track requires spending consistent time with the LORD. You determine how much time to spend with Him daily-your starting point. Or maybe time to increase Your alone time with God like when you pray, read-mediate and internalize His Word in your heart. Then to live-out God’s Word that shows-up in yours’ and my actions including our speech which demonstrates (self-control).
Let us dive into this Blog, THE RIGHT TIME God’s Encounter with Jeremiah 1:4-10 “Then the Word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou came forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. (Jeremiah’s excuse) Then said I, Ah, LORD GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child. But the LORD said unto me, (Unacceptable) Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak. (No fear) Be not afraid of their faces: (The LORD’S promise) for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD. (Equipped) Then the LORD put forth His hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my Words in thy mouth. THE RIGHT TIME (Assignment) See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.” Then read thereafter what God caused Jeremiah to “See, God’s response and protection over Jeremiah.” Despite being a child God used Jeremiah mightily. Note Jeremiah was the son of a priest. Another confirmation of his calling. Many today are sons and daughters of teachers, preachers and heads of ministry. My mother was a Sunday School teacher. We grew as babes to matured believers in the LORD.
Now God made “Stunning statements to Jeremiah “To know him prior to coming out of his mother’s womb. He set Jeremiah apart and anointed (chosen) him to do His work-to answer God’s calling and more.” Listen God did not ask, “Boy will you?” Jeremiah responded with an excuse-that was unacceptable to God. Do we have any Jeremiah’s in the “Room? No accusations, a time for self-reflections. Feeling unworthy or ill-equip. Yet like Jeremiah the LORD knew us prior to conception and birth. He has also anointed (equipped) and will continue to help you and I fulfill our destiny works-our callings that pleases, reverence and honors God. Therefore we are called with a purpose to do God’s will. Y’all remember this old song, “Send me I’ll go?” A very bold song with a purpose to please God.
THE RIGHT TIME. Many fail to move forward because of fear and/or doubt even though familiar with 2 Timothy 1:7 “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. What is Paul saying? He spoke to Timothy about sharing the gospel despite the fear of persecution during that time. What is your fear or my fear of persecution today? Are we bold in Christ to share the gospel? We are free to carry our Bibles without losing our life or incarceration. I remember sharing Christ with someone who believed in God, but not Christ since their faith was not working. Unsure if my sharing worked, but we must plant the seed and God will water or help the seed to flourish in Him.
It was said, Timothy already had a timid (bashful) personality. Yet there were no doubts about his faith in Jesus. It’s felt he simply had to come out of his comfort zone. Like many of us. Time to fly out of the nest to answer his calling. Therefore Paul reminded Timothy of his solid foundation in Christ. He was well taught by his mother and grandmother whom both were faithful in Christ. They served as role models, raised Timothy with godly principles and honorable characteristics. He likely was read Jewish scriptures. Then encouraged by Paul and reminded of his God-given gift that would continue to flourish when surrendering His will to God. Finally Paul reiterated the power of Christ’s Spirit that lived in Timothy; to be dearly beloved by God; to have his mind daily renewed in the LORD’s which cultivated Timothy’s self-control, alertness, and truth in the Word and promises of God.
Many have benefited from a “Rock solid foundation” like Timothy. Then many did not. Yet Jesus knows and loved you prior to your conception. Regardless of when you accepted Christ as your Savior, He had already chosen and called you to learn of Him. This also includes He forgives, a present help if timid like Timothy or feel unworthy to serve like Jeremiah. The LORD will equip and help you. Remember THE RIGHT TIME to fulfill your destiny works-your calling that pleases, reverence and honors God. Therefore you are called with a purpose to do God’s will. As always love, joy, peace and hope! Neatbooks4u
