What is the evidence of your faith, my faith? Can we believe when there appears to be no evidence of what believing for? While waiting for God to come through seemingly doubt or fear begins to set in. O but God has not given us the spirit of fear, but the power of love and the power of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). He is the Creator of the Heavens and Earth and everything in it belongs to Him (Deuteronomy 10:14). COMMITMENT is a verbal and signed agreements, pledges or promises to do or fulfill something such as promises to our children; following the rules on the job; and making monthly payments until paid in full. Moreover all have made promises for self-improvement like cutting back on sweets, walking, and following through on previous commitments made. Most times we remember our promises whether they are personal or involve others. Imagining our COMMITMENTS are realistic and makes sense. Therefore in general we ought to plan to make good on verbal and written promises. We believe Lamentations 3:22-23 that talks about Blog title, GOD'S GRACE & MERCY. Think about situations encountered-"the destroyer's" attempts to harm our body, soul and/or spirit regardless of how the condition (s) came about. The statement "Great is thy faithfulness" is to believe in God's daily grace and mercy includes His favor that also increases our unfailing belief. Not to overlook those experiencing unbelief. O My God! It's like an old saying, "If it's not one thing, it's another." Yet believe too that you are recipients of GOD'S GRACE & MERCY. Focusing on the grace, mercy and favor Daniel and his three friends received despite they were kidnapped from their home, Jerusalem, to live in Babylon. We will identify Daniel's strong belief in God, share ways to mirror his faithfulness as a way of life; his 3 friends faithfulness; and to ultimately reveal GOD'S GRACE & MERCY to increase yours' and my faithfulness. Not only was Judah warned by Isaiah, the prophet about their pending judgement of captivity since they failed to follow God and worshipped false gods. Judah was also given the "Good News" of Renewal and New Beginnings through the prophecy of Christ-the Messiah-the Savior-the King through-the bloodline of David. Then personal promises for every believer when we fall away from Christ, experience some real life issues-crisis, then Renewals and New Beginnings for us. Yet Isaiah 43:19 "Behold, I will do a new thing;" Question: What is that "New thing" you want God to do in your life? "Now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert." This verse reflects the hope and renewal that spring brings, as well as God's power to bring about new beginnings in the lives of His people; as well as seasonal change, God's faithfulness and more. A Must Read!
Think about making you favorite meal or desert. The ingredients and seasonings must be right for the flavor, taste and look. You got to Stir it up, just right and know what and when to add. I'm not "The cook" but, know about taste. Therefore the Stirring has to be right to avoid lumps, poor mixing-poor tasting, the batter flops and the presentation is ugly! We know what happens after that. I remember when the family stopped me from bringing potato salad to gatherings. Therefore blog titled, STIR ME UP is taken from Ezra 1:1 "Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD Stirred up the spirit-heart of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing." This blog talks about the prophesy to Stir up the spirit, the heart of Cyrus was declared by the Prophet Isaiah 150 years prior to Cyrus' birth-God's plan and more. A Must Read!
Welcome to this Monday Inspirational Message Blog titled, REVIVE ME O LORD. A Revival took place in the land of Judah under the reign of King Hezekiah. He did what was right in the sight of God by reopening the LORD'S HOUSE, took the filthiness out of the holy place and more. The blog shares the collective state of Revival. Yet it was not lasting. After King Hezekiah died, his wicked son took over the throne and Judah returned to its pagan lifestyle. In talking about REVIVE ME-a personal preparation phase, the plight of David that took him to a place of humility. A desperate prayer for forgiveness and restoration. Psalm 51:10 "Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me." The meaning of David's prayer is shared, its inspiration and a way of recovery for today's believers that desperately seek the LORD for forgiveness, restoration, presence and more.
