This Monday Morning Inspirational Blast IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD. We already know God is Omnipresent. David said, Psalm 139:7-9 “Whither shall I go from Thy Spirit? or whither shall I flee from Thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, Thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, Thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea.”
Proverbs 15:3 “The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.” Then Jeremiah 23:24 “Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD. Our Triune God, the Creators of heaven and earth presence is everywhere at all times!
Now the initial thought of IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD lead me to congregational praise, worship, prayer and hearing God’s Word inside the church building. And we would say, “The LORD showed up today in this place!” I remember years ago I saw the God’s Light shining through the church window. The praise and worship was so high.
What about the Israelites when Solomon had made and finished the House of the LORD. 2 Chronicles 5:1-14 however vs 13-14 “It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying, For He is good; for His mercy endures forever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the House of the LORD; So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God. Unimaginable the overflow of millions of Israelites outside of the temple walls.
Even though were are commanded to assemble ourselves together in unity to reverence, honor, exalt God’s holy name, hearing of the Word for spiritual growth, renewal of our minds, peace, joy, comfort, guidance and more depending on individual needs. Church attendance—Hebrews 10:25 “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”
IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD within the 4 walls of a church structure we intentionally seek and thirsts after God’s Word for guidance, confirmation, strength, comfort, lifting-up others; and to celebrate our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ on one accord through thanksgiving, reverence, honor, praise and exaltation. In doing so, the collective assembly fills our “Tanks/Hearts with and IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD’S Spirit. Just like we fill up our gas tanks to get back and forth from work, taking our children/grands to school, working out, and/or running other errands we must continue filling our “Tanks/Hearts” with fuel like the Fruit of God’s Spirit. His Word, His love, His peace, His discernment, His patience and more.
Yet for every believer in Christ IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD is essential for life in Christ within and outside of the churches 4 walls. Operating within and beyond the church 4 walls includes what we say and do within the body of Christ, home, relationships with others like co-workers, social media friends, temperament when driving and/or shopping including more.
Therefore IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD, His Light and Spirit means our body belongs to God. Every believer’s body is God’s temple. Corinthians 6:19-20 “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost/Spirit which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
Thus to grow IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD is not only in our church assemblies, but in our personal time with Jesus like we spend personal time with husbands, wives, children and friends or diligently working with lots of responsibilities at home and work. Yes we must start somewhere to feel GOD’S PRESENCE, to realize without a doubt it’s God who keeps us. He deserves our thanks and worship. If we had 10,000 tongues still would be unable to thank God for all He has done and continue benefits for you and I.
Let us intentionally carve out time to grow more IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD when cooking, showering or bathing to pray, praise, worship and thank God for His grace, love, mercy and protection. Direct our prayers LORD, let us be specific in thanking You for blessing our children, grand, seed afar off, other family members, friends, neighbors; thanks for continually guarding our hearts and minds from what we see and feel; and fill us more with Your knowledge, patience and wisdom. Then let’s spend less time on social media to be more IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD. Where there is a will and desire, there is a way.
We cannot afford to miss the promises of IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD because in HIS PRESENCE we feel GOD’S joy, peace, love, HE speaks to our heart, gets us through life disappointments, renews our strength, helps us with our children, convicts our spirit of wrongdoing to make it right---we start anew, gives us hope and so much more.
