A must read and blessings!

Welcome to #YourDestiny, #Your Best Monday Morning Inspirational Blast “MY ROCK” Psalm 62:1-2 “Truly my soul waits upon God: from Him comes my Salvation. He only is MY ROCK and my Salvation; He is my Defense; I shall not be greatly moved.” God is beyond amazing. He never fails to give us opportunities of  understanding.

This metaphor, a comparison of  a rock to MY ROCK. So we find Diabase to be one of the hardest rocks in the world due to its compression (firmness) and tension (pressure). Yet rocks continues to change because of heat and other elements, but MY ROCK is unchanging regardless of weather patterns or the way we act. This metaphor is easy to understand. In the New Testament Jesus, MY ROCK is our solid and firm foundation.

Thus let’s explore this Psalm of David. He was experiencing some trouble that may have involved his son, Absalom. MacArthur Bible Commentary says, "David may have been driven from his throne when he wrote this Psalm. Therefore he was not in his homeland." Image David’s turmoil since family drama is “No joke.” His earnest cry to God in prayer… like us. Then to silently wait for deliverance. But some of us are guilty of trying to “Hurry God” and/or take matters into our own hands making it worst. We need to wait and declare the LORD’s scriptures to help us.

Now David said, “Truly my soul waits upon God.” A sincere prayer from David’s heart to his LORD, MY ROCK. David trusted “Only God” for his salvation of rescue from his human enemies, a troubled mind, disappointment in his son, the possibility of defeat and near death. What did David do? He declared the LORD as his Defense like Moses to the people. Exodus 14:13-14 “Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will show to you today: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more forever.”

David said while waiting for His deliverance “I shall not be greatly moved.” Despite his heart was overwhelmed, feelings of discouragement, exhaustion, his hope and courage were failing explains his cry-out (lament) expressions of sorrow, mourning, regret and adding all the signs of depression. Despite all of these emotions—David continued to acknowledge God, MY ROCK.

Regardless of ones' situation, a personal declaration, “I shall not be greatly moved.” The New Testament confirms Jesus, MY ROCK, the firm-solid foundation and our Salvation due to His finish work on the cross. He is an unchanging God, my Defense, (still personal) my Savior is All-powerful and lives in me. When feeling like David or not as overwhelm we should continue our personal earnest cries to God in prayer for deliverance and breakthrough. While silently waiting let us continue to be humble, trust, praise, thankful to God for His goodness towards us and live to please Him. As always love, blessings and your comments are always welcome! #peace, #love, #hope, #blessings, #deliverance, #belief, #Salvation #meditate and #praise. #Neatbooks4u
