THE PROMISE KEEPER

Thinking back over our lifetime there are broken promises we have made but forgotten about or were reminded of by our children and/or grands. Broken promises due to distractions or self-will for self-gratification. Some distractions were unavoidable due to what was going on at that time. Some promises made with no intentions of keeping for whatever reasons. Therefore, welcome to Monday Inspirational Blog titled, THE PROMISE KEEPER, a sinless God. Blog shares demonstrations of His absolute power and authority. "If He said it, won't He do it (Numbers 23:19), healing for a broken heart, God promises, help for daily live, how to combat sin, invitation for the none believer and more. A must read!

Probably more broken promises that we desire to forget or have already asked for forgiveness. Some have forgiven others and some have not. Broken promises continues to hurt especially when hearts are broken. Remember Proverbs 4:23 “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” Yet some broken hearts were no fault of our own. So LORD, we pray broken hearts are mended and restored.

Distractions, the aftermaths of self-will, broken hearts and/or other hurtful situations along with some happy, joyous and fun times during this personal life journey has led or leading us to THE PROMISE KEEPER. Who is He? The LORD-GOD, STRONG & MIGHTY. We also said earlier GOD is absolute power and authority, a sinless God. “If He said it, won’t He do it (Numbers 23:19);”  desires to help you and I with distractions, mend and restore broken hearts; then change our self-will to His will and way if we let Him.

We must want God. Even though He loves you, God does not force Himself on anyone. Yet He allows stuff, the good to the bad to happen in our lives to realize we need Him. He also comes to your rescue despite not yet accepted Him to be your God. He’s asking that you open your heart today accepting Him as your God, the Savior of the world. Just believe. Then baby steps in building a son and/or daughter relationship with the LORD. For those who have accepted Him but continually do those things you may feel guilty about what has become your norm. Therefore seek God more despite the sin.

Whatever your needs are right now or for someone else: forgiveness for self or others, a broken heart, troubles all around, despair, hopelessness and more. Scriptures below are: Help to refrain from sin; Promises for daily living; Invitation from God to Believe; For the Broken-hearted; and God’s Promises that reconfirms His love and present help. It is my prayer the scriptures below serves and meet your needs. Pray the scriptures and trust God.

HELP TO REFRAIN FROM SIN

(a)    Confess sin Psalm 119:67 “Before I was afflicted (distressed, problem, issue, situation), I went astray; but now have I kept Thy Word.”

(b)    Forsake evil Psalm 119:101 “I have refrained my feet (where I go, what I do) from every evil way, that I might keep Thy Word.”

(c)    Forsake evil Psalm 119:36-37 “Incline my heart unto Thy testimonies (the truth of God’s Word and how to apply to my life) and not to covetousness (greed, lust). Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken Thou me in Thy ways.”

(d)    Forsake evil Psalm 119:114 “Depart from me, ye evildoers: for I will keep the commandments of my God.”

(e) Psalm 119:30 “I have chosen the way of truth: Thy judgments (consequences) have I laid before me.”

(f) Psalm 119:59 “I thought on my ways and turned my feet unto Thy testimonies”

(g) Psalm 119:44 “So shall I keep Thy law continually forever and ever.”

(h) Psalm 119:87 “They had almost consumed (had) me upon the earth; but I forsook (did not forget) God’s laws/commandments.”

PROMISES FOR DAILY LIVING – WE ARE NOT IN THIS BY OURSELVES

Psalm 32:8 “I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go: I will guide you with Mine, the [LORD’S] eye.” Other words He says, I see you and I got this-No worries.”

Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” Then help me LORD and show me Your way.

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” A plan for you!

Matthew 11:28-29 “Come unto Me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.” The LORD is saying, “I will guide you. I’m not angry with you for asking. I welcome you to come to me in distress!”

Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called (that’s you) according to His purpose.”

Assurances even though the road may not be easy. Psalm 34:19 “Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but He, the LORD delivers him (you and I) out of them all.”

Deuteronomy 6:5-6 “And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. And these words, which I command you this day, shall be in your heart.

Psalm 37:29 “The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein forever.

INVITATION FROM GOD TO BELIEVE

1 John 4:15-16 “Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwells in him and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God has to us. God is love; and he that dwells in love dwells in God, and God in him.”

Having Faith-Hebrews 11:6  “But without faith it is impossible to please Him [God]: for he & she that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.”

Then read Romans chapter 5 which describes our justification (made right with God, through Jesus), now access; how tribulations (hard times) works toward perfection; our hope and more are driven by: LORD’S heartfelt love, favor, compassion, grace, mercy; and Yes chastisement to stir-up you and me as we “Come to ourselves” with a repentance heart thirsting more after God’s righteousness, um... hum!

The love of God is shed abroad in your hearts and mine by His Holy Spirit, His righteous living in us. For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely (hardly) for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure (maybe) for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commends (commits) His love toward you and me while we were sinners, even before we were born.

FOR THE BROKEN-HEARTED

Psalm 34:18 “The LORD is nigh (near) unto them that are of a broken heart; and saves such as be of a contrite (repentance) spirit.”

Psalm 147:3 He [God] heals the broken in heart, and bindeth (binds) up their wounds means the LORD will bandage up yours and my wounded spirit to heal.

Isaiah 61:1 “The Spirit of the LORD GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed (chosen & empowered) me to preach good tidings unto the meek (humble); he hath sent me to bind (bandage) up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty (freedom) to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound. There is so much more in this verse.  Then reconfirmed in Luke 4:18-21. Believing we get the point.

GOD’S PROMISES

Isaiah 41:20 & 26:3 “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of My righteousness. I [the LORD] will keep you in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Me: because you trusts in Me.

Deuteronomy 31:8 “And the LORD, He it is that does go before thee; He will be with thee, He will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.”

John 16:33 “These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

Psalm 32:8 “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shall go: I will guide thee with mine eye.”

Psalm 37:23-24 “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delights in His way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholds him with His hand.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 “And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities (illness), that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches (reprimands), in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.”
