NO ORDINARY PEOPLE

Hear Ye, Hear Ye, welcome to this Inspirational Blog that acknowledges small beginnings like Amos in the "Old Testament." He was a sheep breeder that lived in Judah. He was not of priestly nor noble decent. Yet called a prophet by God to deliver a "Thus says message" of doom (disaster) and gloom (misery) with restoration to come upon repentance to the Northern tribes of Israel. Blog titled, NO ORDINARY PEOPLE. We share examples of the blog titled, confirmation of yours' and my dominion over all God created on earth; small beginnings, operating in our gifts, as well as God given assignments.

King David another Bible character of small beginnings. First King 17 Chapter includes David as a youth, the youngest sibling and care-taker of his father’s sheep. David’s dad had told him to go check on his brothers and take them some food. When David arrived his brothers, king Saul and the men of Israel were in the valley of Elah for/in battle against the Philistines; and all Israel feared the Philistines’ champion Goliath, the giant--except David. He inquired since  already experienced the supernatural power of his God. David’s brother thought he was prideful with a heart of wickedness. This goes to show his brother did not know the LORD like David, as well as, easy to assume he was jealous of David.

Yet, small beginnings David told the king and people “I slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God. Everyone knows the story. David won the battle, cut off the giant’s head and presented it to the king. Small beginnings as a “Shepard boy” to the “Chosen one by God” king David of Israel NO ORDINARY PEOPLE. The family-line of the King of kings, Yeshu-Jesus, the Christ to rule forever!

NO ORDINARY PEOPLE confirmed. Genesis 1:26 “And God said, Let us (Father, Son & Holy Spirit) make man (inclusive of woman) in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth. Man’s image is in a human body to attain dominion (rule) over the earth, with speech to command. God’s likeness is the ability to reason, free-will, self- consciousness, emotions, moral character and holiness. Moral character and holiness became weak to weaker… due to the fall of man (sin). Yet now restored. Mankind is being perfected and is justified as “Righteous” through the sacrificial Lamb, Jesus-Yeshu, the Christ. For more see (Biblehub.com/commentary).

What about self-belief in NO ORDINARY PEOPLE? Small beginnings may have included dislike of skinny looks. I’m guilty of that. No internet to influence negative self-image. Poor grades? I’m guilty which was influenced by low thoughts about me. Many grew up in huts, small and/or overcrowded wooden houses, the projects, grandma’s house or some other place like “Pillar to post” meaning where ever we could lay our heads. Then many of our mothers including mine did “Days” known as domestic work to help take care of the family. She later worked in the school’s cafeteria and for the Health Department. Many of our fathers served in World War II, were wounded, received honorable discharges with small pensions. Others and many were laborers, landscapers, painters, construction workers, mechanics, fought for civil rights and more. Yet NO ORDINARY PEOPLE according to their ability and a way of escape made by the LORD did not give-up, nor give-in. Think about how far we have come, the success and more. Despite more to do, we can still shout “LORD Hallelujah!  

There’s more. Our moms, dads and others of significance taught family values and moral, as well as the importance of good sibling relationships. Neighbors watched out and the children. Many of our dads lacked church attendance, but gave us offerings to put in Sunday School and on the collection table in church. Then some joined the church later. Dads like moms served as youth leaders, oversaw youth activities-programs, Sunday School Teachers, Chair of “Women’s-Men’s Day programs, were over the choir and ushers; sold dinners from the bar-be-que pit, had other kinds of fundraisers that benefitted the church as a whole; some were community activists, held public office, teachers, school volunteers, members of the Parent-Teacher Association, were Den Mothers and worked with the Girl Scouts. Fathers were over little league sports activities and the Boy-Club Scouts. NO ORDINARY PEOPLE who instilled us with family values and godly foundations to strive for success in every area of our lives.  

NO ORDINARY PEOPLE are called by God to operate in the diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit for: The edification or building-up of the church as a Prophet or Prophetess, differences of administrations, Word of wisdom, Word of knowledge, gifts of healing, the working of miracles, discerning of spirits, divers kinds of tongues; interpretation of tongues: and helps ministry. In the Bible y’all First Corinthians 12 Chapter. Verse 28 “And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

Some common church ministries that many are familiar with includes, Sunday School, Bible Study, prayer meeting, Missionary Society, Youth Department and feeding ministries. Regular church attendance means not just physically in the building-but the body of Christ comes collectively together in unity and love; set-apart-sanctified for “Good works,” The atmosphere has been set. The presence of the LORD is felt in “His holy temple-Holy place. We feel His presence through the social media platforms. NO ORDINARY PEOPLE called by God to do His bidding-His will. God is calling the faithful. He’s calling those thirsting after His righteous. He’s calling the ones’ with a submissive heart. Then LORD thanks for creating us in Your image and likeness with dominion. Therefore we are NO ORDINARY PEOPLEAs always hope, joy, love, peace and power. Neatbooks4u.com.
