Due to Israel’s wickedness, the LORD had to show them in “Real time” the depth of His love for them. This is a message for everyone that can help us understand the magnitude of GOD’S LOVE IS REAL. To make more plain. Have you ever deal with family or folks who just don’t get the picture nor seems to understand what you and I are saying. We could be dealing with attitudes, immaturity, poor decision makers and/or the person feels no changes are needed. These concerns can range from the youngest to the oldest. I have heard many say, “This is how I am and this is how I’m going to be.” This stance is taken despite the changes would be for their good. What do we do? We must LOVE them anyhow. Then we can tell stories, share experiences, listen, as well as solicit the person’s input-suggestions for positive changes. More hands-on may require some rules and consequences appropriate for the age; and we must be consistent. Moreover we are reminded to seek God’s guidance, make our requests known to Him, model godliness, stop nagging, to praise and encourage. Some of this stuff is hard to do if we are angry or frustrated. So calm down-relax. To take your mind off the situation do something positive like clean up your bedroom, wash the dishes, self-care like work-out, read a book or soak your feet.
Now we can’t fathom God’s ways and thoughts. Isaiah 55:9-10 “God thoughts are higher than the heavens. For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. So to help Israel, you and I increase the understanding of GOD’S LOVE IS REAL, He chose the “Marriage covenant,” a metaphor to convey His LOVE. Verse 3 “So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; which conceived, and bare him a son.” Read Hosea to learn more about Gomers adulterous relationships, the children she bore were said not to be his “Another baby’s daddy.” Yet God is all of our Daddy- filling in the gap for missing-absent fathers despite the reason. Regardless of Gomer’s marital affairs, Hosea continued to take her back until the very end of being sold in slavery. Chapter 3:2 “So I bought her to me for fifteen pieces of silver, and for an homer of barley.” Think about our sins. God continues to LOVE and forgive us anyhow.
GOD’S LOVE IS REAL which is told through the “Marriage covenant which means a lifetime commitment to each other before God and under the LORDSHIP of Jesus Chris. The husband and wife relationship becomes the primary human relationship (Biblical Counseling Coalition). The traditional marriage vows are “To have and to hold from this day forward. For better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health. To love and to cherish. Till death us do part. OMG what a wonderful way to better understand GOD’S LOVE IS REAL for you and I.

Gensis 12:1-3 “Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curse thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”
Covenant prophesy to come. Jermiah 31:31-34 “Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”
The greater and better covenant-inclusive for all believers fulfilled by Yeshua-Jesus, the Christ. Hebrews 8:6 “But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises”. Hebrews 13:20 “Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our LORD Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant.” This includes us y’all.
As we wrap-up this message, GOD’S LOVE IS REAL, a marriage not unto death, but everlasting life. Through the better covenant fulfilled by Christ. then as believers GOD’S Word is encrypted into our hearts through His Holy Spirit living in us. Our hearts should be convicted and corrected when we do those things that are not of him. When we are faced with challenging situations including weak, we are to seek and call on the LORD for guidance, breakthrough, wisdom, patience, compassion and peace. Many are witnesses of GOD as the “Proven Present Help” and more. Lastly, we must trust the LORD. Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose, a Promise Keeper.
