FOR THE LOVE OF GOD

Welcome to Monday Morning Inspirational Blog. It's all about y'all. I thought would be moving forward since spoke about Matters of the Heart in February. Yet there is more. Think about the Cinderella story of a beautiful black Shulamite-poor-peasant-like a farm girl who won the heart of a handsome young prince-a powerful king name Solomon. She was noted as the prince's "One true love." Someone who truly loved Solomon for himself out of his thousand women, not for his wealth, fame, position or power. Blog focusing more on love and the believers' aspiration titled, "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD" like the love of Solomon and Shulamite bride. A MUST READ!

Question: Do we love or gravitate to our significant other because of their wealth, fame, position or power? OR do we love them for themselves-a good heart? Well for me I desire one with a heart of love for God first. To love God first according to His Word, then He will love me, be family oriented, with integrity and yes must bring some stability to the table---putting it mildly. What are your thoughts?

Expressions of Solomon and the Shulamite love for each other in the beauty of marital love. “I am my beloved’s (w/o a doubt, no hesitation and total commitment of the bride’s love in marital relationship) and his desire is toward me" (likewise the total commitment of love and desire for his bride (7:10). Then “Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned (8:7).”

Their unbreakable-inseparable love reminds us of our LOVE for Christ. Afterall the theme and blog titled “FOR THE LOVE OF GOD” is found in the SONG OF SOLOMON also known as “SONG OF SONGS. Then Romans 8:39 “Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our LORD.” Like nothing can quench the bride and groom of their love for each other, nothing can separate us from the LOVE OF GOD. True love reminders for husbands and wives of their FIRST LOVE towards each other as well as those seeking-inspiring to be married and those loving God.

Now believers aspiration “FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.” You and I are the “My beloved to God and He is the “My beloved to you and me. Beloved means dearly beloved-a deep affection for each other. His love has no fault, because He is the God of Love.

We are to look at the FIRST LOVE of our Christian life. How far back can we go? I remember joining the church at nine years old because I desired to sing in the “Junior Choir. Unsure of a genuine love for Christ. Probably love for Him in the mind of a child. What I do remember around 40 years old desiring a thirst for Christ. Three other young ladies including myself gathered at the table in the church’s followship hall studying the Word of God. I will call this my “FIRST LOVE” in thirst of God’s righteousness. Think about your FIRST LOVE.  

Faith Bible Institute Commentary Series Volume 3 views the Song of Solomon stages of building a romantic relationship to building our relationship with Christ.  

Stage One:

The courtship-we must get to know the LORD, hearing the Word of God through a preacher-teacher, accepting the LORD as your Savior, pray, praise, worship, thanksgiving, ask God to direct you in what scriptures to read and to increase your understanding, meditate on what you read. Put God’s Word into practice, fellowship with other believers, find a Bible teaching church, participate in Bible Study and prayer groups.

The growth of love-praise, worship and longing for God more. Continue the courtship as God your FIRST LOVE. Growth with Christ is unlimited. Being faithful will take you to higher dimensions in Christ. Be careful of the company you keep. Don’t get caught up in the gossip or negative talk among church folks, family or close friends. Most times there is someone that you know and respect with wise, sound and godly counsel.

There are more stages however would like to highlight the phases of ups and downs, misunderstandings and more which are part of the growing process prior to, after and throughout the marriage. Yet endurance and increase love through the power of the Holy Spirit. Like believers maturing in Christ for perfection through life traumas and events. Endurance, steadfast and unmovable trusting in the LORD. Now the reward. God’s elect.  

Revelation 19:7 “Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to Him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. A marriage between Christ and the church forever and ever. LORD giving You all the honor, praise and glory for choosing us, for loving us and saving us! Peace, love, hope, joy and happiness in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen!!! Neatbooks4u

Introduction 1 Corinthians 13:11 "When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man or woman, I put away childish things." In remembrance of our childhood life journey to fully grown was filled with mothers, fathers, grandparents, uncles, aunties, neighbors, teachers, old ladies from the church and/or others' input that shaped your life and mine. Then fully grown was not subjective to age like 18 or 19 if still lived in parent's house. So for most, the childhood life journey was filled with scolding, whippings, "Go to your room" and more. Then depending on the caregivers' parenting style exceptions to the general or normal way of how "Black folks" raised children. "Whether we got it (the message) or not as well as how those experiences from happy to sad have influenced our lives…matters.
