GOD COMMISSIONS

Welcome to this Monday Morning Blog Inspirational Message "GOD COMMISSIONS" includes Joshua received the Spirit of wisdom when Moses laid his hands upon him (Joshua); how the laying on of hands fills today's believers with the Spirit of wisdom; more on what wisdom symbolizes; how to obtain wisdom for those lacking; GOD COMMISSION Joshua to take Israel into the Promised Land and lead the people; little by little; how GOD COMMISSIONS believers to serve Him in various ways that includes spiritual, personal and community opportunities; requirements for "Prosperous and good success;" as well as, how to walk and live in the way of the LORD. A must read!

We find at the end of Deuteronomy 34:9 Joshua was full in the spirit of wisdom. Moses, the servant of God had laid his hands upon Joshua. Now 1:1-2 “The LORD spoke to Joshua, the son of Nun now My servant Moses is dead. GOD COMMISSIONS (commanded) Joshua to arise, go over the Jordan then take the children of Israel to the land that I promised their fathers. The land that is filled with milk and honey. It took 40 years of “Wilderness wandering” to enter the promised land due to Israel’s disobedience.

What about the laying on of hands? Moses laid hands on Joshua. The Tropical Encyclopedia confirms the laying on of hands is a significant biblical practice that symbolizes the transmission of blessing, authority, healing, and the Holy Spirit. Genesis 48:14 “Israel (Jacob) laid his hands on the heads of Ephraim and Manasseh to bless them to show the transfer of blessing and inheritance.” Acts 19:6 “Paul laid hands on the Ephesian believers, resulting in them receiving the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues.” Also the laying on of hands is associated with ordination and commissioning for ministry.  In Acts 6:6 the apostles laid hands on the seven chosen men, setting them apart for service. A significant biblical practice of continued  relevance for today’s believers to witness the mighty moves and divine interventions of the LORD.

Joshua’s COMMISSION, fullness in the spirit of wisdom were: (1) A confirmation of the military and administrative ability necessary to the task given him by the LORD; in addition to (2) Spiritual wisdom to rely on and maintain his commitment to the LORD. Many are COMMISSION with the fullness in the spirit of wisdom to preach and teach the Word of God, to lead Bible Study, oversee the Prayer Ministry, visit the sick and help the needy. Are you COMMISSION for any of the above or something else? What about our various professions performing with the fullness in the Spirit of wisdom with expertise-knowledge then working to please God as we serve and help others. Then the military, police and other departments’ personnel that are COMMISSION with the fullness in the Spirit of wisdom where the LORD goes before and with them to keep our communities and nation safe from all harm and danger.

What if we lack direction, feel weak, doubt or fear our COMMISSION from God? Then what should we do? According to James 1:5 “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that gives to all men liberally, and upbraided (scolded) not; and it shall be given him. Then First Corinthians 12:8a makes it plain. “For to one is given by the Spirit, the word of wisdom known as a speaking gift. Most often the ability to understand God’s Word and His will to apply skillfully in life situations. Life situations such as church ministries, home life, family affairs, work including community works. We must trust God, when He confirms our COMMISSION.

Supported scriptures Ephesians 3:20 “Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.” Philippians 2:13 “For it is God which works in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” Hebrews 13:21 “Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.”

About 3-4 weeks ago we spoke about the Israelites “Wilderness wandering” experience of 40 years due to disobedience. They failed to trust God. What “Wilderness wandering” experiences you and/or I have encountered resulting from disobedience? Maybe a blessing delayed or received “Little by little” due to unreadiness-not ready yet to handle according to God’s will and way.

Note The LORD is not shy nor “Stammer” regarding instructions to receive His blessings. He told the Israelites in Joshua 1:7-8 “Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou may observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou may prosper whithersoever thou goes. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou may observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.  COMMISSION to the fullness in the spirit of wisdom. Results to “Making our way prosperous with good success”

Then Romans 12:2 “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” John 14:15 “If ye love Me, keep my commandments (the ten),” Galatians 2:20 “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me.” Thus living for Christ is a lifelong journey of faith, growth, service, and devotion to the Savior.  COMMISSIONS to the fullness in the Spirit of wisdom proving what is good, acceptable and perfect will of God. Thanks for GOD COMMISSIONS to all believers, filling us with the Spirit of wisdom and equipping us with all of Your spiritual blessings to fulfill Your COMMISSIONS, Your works that blesses others and we are blessed. Please share with others, peace, love and joy! Neatbooks4u
