IN THE NAME OF JESUS

This Monday Morning Blog-Inspirational Message IN THE NAME OF JESUS shares our LORD'S deity (Who He Is) which is the foundational doctrine of Christianity. Affirming Jesus Christ is fully God, fully man. Jesus possesses the same divine nature as God the Father. Therefore co-equal and co-eternal with the Father and the Holy Spirit (Topical Encyclopedia). Scripture references are John 1:1 & 20:28; Colossians 1:16-17; & Hebrews 13:8. Then read "The Deity of Christ" for more. We also share Jesus' Hebrew name and its meaning. A little on our names and a few making history in America. Yet most importantly the power IN THE NAME OF JESUS. HIS power is also available to us when we make our request known to Him—IN THE NAME OF JESUS. His Hebrew name Yehoshua later shorten to YESHUA the Savior, the gift of Salvation and Jehovah's seven compound names which reveals Him as meeting every need of man from his lost state to the end. A must read!

Welcome to this Monday Morning Blog-Inspirational Message IN THE NAME OF JESUS. Scriptures witnessing the authority and power IN THE NAME OF JESUS: After Jesus’ resurrection and just before His’ return to heaven. Matthew 28:18-19 “And Jesus came and spoke unto them (His disciples), saying, “All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost/Spirit:

John 14:11-15 “Believe Me that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me: or else believe Me for the very works' sake. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believes on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto My Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in My name, I will do it. If ye love Me, keep My commandments.

Ephesians 1:20-22 “Which He wrought (create, fashion)  in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead, and set Him at His Own Right Hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be the head over all things to the church.”

First Peter 3:22 “Who is gone into heaven, and is on the Right Hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto Him [Jesus].” Lastly read Jesus’ heartfelt communication with His/Our Father. Yet JESUS’ ultimate Power and Dominion is way beyond our comprehension. And we believe.

Prior to “What’s In A Name” let’s look into meanings of a few names in general letslearnslang.com/origin-of-the-name and other internet links. My name Arnetha with deep linguistic (verbal) roots and cultural significance. It is a name that carries a sense of strength, beauty, and individuality. I did look up my names years ago and found it to mean pretty. So congratulations to my mother who named me after someone in Coconut Grove. Caleb a Hebrew name meaning "faithful and whole-hearted.” Jadon another Hebrew name meaning thankful, grateful and he will judge. Stephanie comes from a Greek word meaning crown, honor and/or reward.

We thank God for all those putting their lives on the line for our freedoms and others. And we speak restoration for those that have been unconstitutional taken away, IN THE NAME OF JESUS WE PRAY!

What a great time to talk about the IN NAME OF JESUS that reportedly comes from the Latin word Iesus which is derived from the Greek word Iesous. Then Yeshua is the Aramaic form of the Hebrew word Yehoshua (Bibleanalysis.org). Jesus/Yeshua means Savior—the Savior of the world, Rescuer, Salvation and Deliverer.

Descriptions of Jesus as Jehovah tells us of His power and authority. Taken from The Scofield Study Bible “The Holy Bible” containing the old and New Testaments AUTHORIZED KING JAMES VERSION. Jehovah has seven compound names which reveals Him as meeting every need of man from his lost state to the end. I would suggest until the end of time/death. They are: (1) Jehovah-Jireh “The LORD will provide” (What do you need, then desire?) Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Read the entire chapter for understanding. Then Genisis 22:13,14. (2) Jehovah-Rapha “The LORD that heals” (physical, emotional and mental health needs. Yet let’s not get all upset when it seems like God not moving as requested. Are we still eating fatty, greasy foods, too many sweets, no exercise, inconsistent in taking medication, holding on to unforgiveness, something else or maybe we are being perfected in Christ. Exodus 15:26 (3) Jehovah-Nissi “The LORD our banner,” a symbol of honoring God for His divine protection and victory in physical battle. Exodus 17:8-15. Many times God is our banner of divine protection and victory during spiritual warfare/troubles.

(4) Jehovah-Shalom “The LORD our peace or the LORD send peace.” Philippians 4:7 “And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (5) Jehovah-Ra-ah “The LORD My Shepherd.” Psalm 23-I shall not want…we all know this one very well. A Psalm of David for comfort and reassurance in times of trouble. (6) Jehovah-Tsidkenu “The LORD our righteousness.” The reference scripture in Jeremiah 23:5. The prophet speaks of a future king (Jesus/Yeshua) from the line of David who will reign with wisdom and justice: Thus the LORD is our source of righteousness through His Spirit that resides in each believer.  (7) Jehovah-Shammah, “The LORD is present which signifies Jehovah’s abiding presence with His People. Scripture Psalm 16:11Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in Thy presence is fulness of joy; at Thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.”  Matthew 28:20 “Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

Let us remember Jehovah has seven compound names that meets all of our needs from the life of being lost (unbelief) until the end of time and/or death. Then Jesus said, “And whatsoever ye shall ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in My name, I will do it. If ye love Me, keep My commandments.”

Let us continue to try the LORD at His Word. Psalm 34:8 “O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusts in Him. In “Tasting” (Giving God a chance, trying Him at His Word). We “Taste” God for our list of life needs due to: Atmosphere of unrest situations and uncertainties; Issues with children and family; Job, lack and money problems; Physical health, emotional and mental issues; Separation, divorce and grief to death of loved ones; Abandonment, neglect, other abuses to include domestic violence; homelessness and living in fear; And lawlessness.

Blessed is the man that trusts in Him. We trust You, LORD to be our (1) Jehovah-Jireh “The LORD will provide” (2) Jehovah-Rapha “The LORD that heals” (3) Jehovah-Nissi “The Lord our banner,” for His divine protection and victory in warfare. (4) Jehovah-Shalom “The LORD our peace.” (5) Jehovah-Ra-ah “The LORD My Shepherd.” Psalm 23-I shall not want… (6) Jehovah-Tsidkenu “The LORD our righteousness. (7) Jehovah-Shammah, “The LORD is present with us. A God who never slumbers nor sleep.
