Welcome to this Monday Morning Blog-Inspirational Message THE LORD SPEAKS description is about us, believers in Christ Jesus are chosen by God.” We are familiar with 2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” A covenant promise to Israel as God’s chosen people.
In 2 Chronicles King Solomon with all of his heart finished building the temple of God, His dwelling place. Solomon prayed, the fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and sacrifices. The glory of the LORD filled the house. The children of Israel bowed down with their faces on the pavement worshipping and praising the LORD saying, “For He is Good; for His mercy endureth forever.”
Verse 8 “Also at the same time Solomon kept the Feast of Tabernacles for seven days, a significant festival in the Jewish calendar and all Israel was with him, a very great congregation.”
Verse 9 And in the eighth day they made a solemn assembly: for they kept the dedication of the altar seven days signifying the consecration of the place where sacrifices were offered to God. Verse 10 once all this was completed Solomon sent the people home to their tents.
The LORD was so well pleased that He visited Solomon at night, told Him “I heard your prayer. He didn’t say—like we would have said, “I accept the temple you built for Me.” Instead said, (Vs. 12) “And chosen this place to Myself for an house of sacrifice.” The temple was built with divine instructions from the LORD.
Now prior to Chronicles 7:14 the LORD warned Solomon of the penalties for disobedience and the requirements for forgiveness-restoration-healing. Verse 13, “If I shut down the rain from heaven, command the locust, devour the land or send pestilence among My people this is what they need to do; Second Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
Thus nothing is hidden from God. Isaiah 46:10 “Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure.” God reminded Solomon of His love for Israel and their promises when return to God.
Since most are not part of the Nation of Israel. We are the nation of America to include its territories. Yet the LORD foretold of a greater covenant to come and now established for all that believes in Jesus Christ. Therefore 7:14 a promise to all believers that meet God’s requirements. To be clear, this promise is for the body of Christ to receive forgiveness, restoration and healing for our land of problems, wickedness and sin.
The beginning a promise to Abram—Genesis 12:3 “And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curse thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”
Prophesy—Daniel 7:14 “And there was given Him [Jesus] dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve Him: His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.”
Gift—John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Confession of faith—Romans 10:9-13 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the LORD Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Promise—Ephesians 3:6 “That the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ by the gospel.” Gentiles are those (us) that are not Jews.
As God’s people—Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Regardless of our relationship with You LORD we pray with a repentance heart, striving for perfection in Christ. I am nothing without You. You are God Almighty, All-knowing, Powerful, Yahweh the Self-Existing One, the Beginning and the End. My hope and trust is in You. I need You LORD.
I have sinned and confessed my sins to You one-by-one like I have not been consistent in my prayer life, reading, studying and the meditation of the scriptures, as well as consistent fasting. I find myself weak in tolerating others, lacking patience at home, using foul language when I’m angry, a lifestyle of cursing, claiming to love You and hate others. Drinking alcohol like water, getting high, vaping, gambling, dating other people’s husband or wife. As a gospel preacher or teacher of Your Word I’m rushing through my studies, not spending adequate time with You LORD, feel it’s not important to teach certain truths of Your Word, because “I can’t put a person in heaven nor hell.”
Then LORD I pray you search the hearts of my brothers and sisters in Christ, the entire body. Anything in their hearts, as well as mine that should not be there please remove it. Give us all clean hearts to be more like You in all our ways. Then LORD we ask You to accept our heartfelt and sincere prayer. We petition and thank the LORD for the body of Christ in America and its territories for increase in humility when coming before the LORD interceding for each other. Continually seeking Your face, remaining steadfast and unmovable in Jesus Christ from generation to generations.
In addition LORD asking that You hear and is pleased with the righteous in our land like You were pleased with Abraham (Genesis 18:16-25). You granted Abraham’s petition to spare the wicked city if 50 to at least one was found righteous. You kept giving him chances until not one was found righteous. Therefore LORD You destroyed the city. In America and its territories I don’t know the numbers, but You do. Believing and presenting to You that over hundreds of thousands are righteous in our land. So LORD please hear from heaven and accept the fervent prayers of the righteous in our land.
Then LORD heal our land of corruption, evilness, wickedness, greedy self-centered men/women that are lovers of themselves, stealing from the poor and working class to give to the rich; oppression of the poor, needy and destitute; preying upon the vulnerable and the weak. O God nothing is hidden from You including all the vulnerabilities we are facing in the nation and around the world.
Fight the battle for us LORD like You did for Gideon (Judges 7:1-21) and Jehoshaphat (2 Chronicles 20). You said, “The battle belongs to You, not us.” Thanks LORD the battle we are facing in America and its territories belongs to You! LORD we bow down and worship You in the beauty of Your holiness.
O LORD we shout out to You: Psalm 136:1 “O give thanks unto the LORD; for He is good: for His mercy endureth forever;” Psalm 95:1 “Come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the Rock of our salvation;” Psalm 100:4 “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His name; Psalm 34:1 “I will bless the LORD at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth;” and Ephesians 5:19 “Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the LORD.” We are thankful THE LORD SPEAKS.
