CHRIST'S MIND

This Monday Morning Inspirational Message helps us to understand CHRIST'S MIND-HIS CHARACTER-HIS HEART. One supporting scripture Proverbs 4:23 commands us to guard our hearts since out of it are the issues of life. CHRIST has not left us as orphans in times of trouble. As a matter of fact, He is with us at all times. We describe CHRIST'S MIND fills us with His zeal, our passion for "Good works," His compassion-His pity to care and help us in times of need; His courage in our weakness an assurance of confidence "We can do this without a doubt." Then more on CHRIST'S MIND and the Word, proofs of CHRIST'S MIND availability. Then all believers must avail ourselves to CHRIST'S MIND for maintaining our steadfast and unmovable life in the LORD. Amen! A must read & continue blessings!

Welcome to Monday Morning Inspirational Message. Last week we talked about Be Anxious For Nothing through the Mind of Christ, not through ourselves due to our weaknesses. This week we look to increase our understanding of CHRIST’S MIND which is His  character. An Old Testament, Proverbs 23:7 by King Solomon “For as he thinketh in his heart so is he.  CHRIST’S way of thinking is connected or related to His heart.  Proverbs 4:23 “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” The issues of life are our problems and situations that unfortunately on many occasions leads to emotional, mental and physical heart failure while still living.

Descriptions and benefits of CHRIST MIND/CHARACTER which is rooted in CHRIST’S HEART taken from Faith Bible Institute Volume VI to increase our understanding about CHRIST’S MIND.

Zeal (passion) James 2:17 “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.”

Example: Jesus’ Zeal Titus 2:14 “Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity (evil, sin) and purify (make clean, holy) unto Himself a peculiar people (belong to God), zealous of good works.”

CHRIST MIND of Zeal Deuteronomy 6:5 “And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. Are we willing to increase giving up our fleshly ways that sometimes takes us overboard failing to “Let go and let God” for the sake of our children and/or grands. They not only see in the light but,  those things we do in the dark (secret or not hidden) they can see too. CHRIST’S MIND gives us the ZEAL to give some stuff up for the sake of our children and/or other issues of importance.

Compassion (mercy, sympathy and pity) Hebrews 4:16Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”

Example: Hebrews 4:14-15 “Seeing then that we have a great High Priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an High Priest which cannot be touched with the feeling (compassion) of our infirmities (weakness); but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Colossians 3:12 “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.”

CHRIST’S MIND of Compassion is to increase compassion or empathy for others. Compassion begins with family. Maybe 20 years ago “They made you angry and still holding a grudge. Note along with prayer some situations requires professional mental health services. Yet many times the issues were small that “Blew-up.” Read  Mark 14-15 about Jesus’ emotional anguish and physical trauma prior to and after He was nailed to the cross, a sin offering for mankind. Jesus did not hold a grudge Luke 23:24 Then said Jesus, “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.” (The God of Compassion) And they parted His raiment (clothes), and cast lots (made bets) on His clothes. So if any of us lack Compassion Jesus is saying to us today “Here I Am” offering you My beloved Compassion that never runs out.”

Meekness and Gentleness Matthew 11:28-30 “Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly (humble/easy) in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. To take Jesus’ yoke allows Him to guide you and I through difficult times and situations giving us rest (no worries, instead peace and good sleep) For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”  Then LORD in my weakness, You bind those negative thoughts and fear, In the Name of Jesus, Amen!

Example: Hebrews 12:2 “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand (power, strength and authority) of God’s.”

CHRIST’S MIND of Meekness and Gentleness confirms His promises to guide and give us rest during the storms of life. Continue to reflect what God has done for you—CHRIST never fails. He said it and won’t He do it? Yet we have failed CHRIST. Forgive us LORD for failing to let you guide and give us rest during our difficult times. Thanks LORD for helping us to understand, live and rest in CHRIST’S MIND declaring His meekness and gentleness endures forever!!!

COURAGE Philippians 1:20 “According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.” Paul spoke with heartfelt courage and confidence despite his confinement as well as possible trial. Regardless of all Paul’s troubles, his faith was unwavering. Paul declared if he lived or died his body will glorify Christ.

Example: 1 Chronicles 28:20 And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, even my God, will be with thee; He will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the Lord.

CHRIST’S MIND of COURAGE reiterated by King David to his son, Solomon in building the temple for the LORD. David gave Solomon patterns to follow in building the temple that were given to him by the Holy Spirit; and instructions to serve and follow the LORD’s commands with promises to include God will be with him. Read Chapter 28. God has given us assignments and tasks to complete. Hebrews 13:20-21”Now the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, even Jesus our LORD, equip you in every good thing to do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.” Therefore let us trust God’s Word and promise of COURAGE-CHRIST MIND in us/we in Him to complete the “Good works” our assignments He has given us! Praise ye the LORD!

LOVE 1 John 4:7 - Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loves is born of God, and knows God.”

Example Romans 8:38-39For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our LORD.

CHRIST’S MIND of LOVE no doubt inseparable in the mind of Paul-completely sole-out for Christ. Nothing separated him from the LOVE of Christ which is in Christ Jesus our LORD. Available for all believers with a made-up mind like Paul in Christ. When Christ chose Paul, He already knew Paul was His man. We all are or should be striving to mirror Paul. Yet our Greatest to Admire is the LORD Jesus Christ Himself. None other like Him nor can compare.

LORD we humbly present ourselves before You with praise and thanksgiving for giving us Your Mind of Zeal, Compassion, Meekness, Gentleness, Courage and Love Ephesians 3:20-21 “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end, Amen!
