Romans 5:5-8. “And hope makes not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely (hardly) for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure (maybe) for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commends (commits) His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
God’s love and His promises to come were foretold and described by the prophets. Ezekeil 36:26-27 "A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. And I will put My Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in My statutes, and ye shall keep My judgments, and do them."
Joel 2:28-29 "And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: "And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out My Spirit."
God’s promises have come to pass. Hebrews 13:20-21”Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our LORD Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep (us), through the blood of the everlasting covenant. Make you/us perfect in every good work to do His will, working in you that which is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
We are made perfect in every good work to withstand life pressures and not conform to ungodly lifestyles of men/women. We are empowered by the Holy Ghost-Spirit living in us, enable to hold fast our profession of faith and committed to Christ’s reign in the Heavens. Jesus our High Priest daily intercessions gives us the power to endure. Christ understands our struggles, infirmities and temptations since He was tempted too (Hebrews 4:15a).
Jesus was victorious in every trial and temptation. Therefore we are empowered to live victoriously over sin if we depend on Jesus’ Spirit, not our flesh. Then Christ is available. Hebrew 4:16 “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” We are able to enter God’s presence in prayer because of His grace--His unmerited favor; and we receive His mercy-His undeserved forgiveness of our sins.
Thanks LORD for putting within us a new heart and a new spirit and have taken the stony heart out of our flesh. Thanks LORD for putting Your Spirit within us and causing us to walk in Your statutes, keep Your judgments and to do them. Thanks LORD for pouring out Your Spirit upon all flesh. We are growing and desire more in You as Your sons and daughters. We want to prophesize which is giving a message--a divine revelation from You through the studying of Your Word, prayer or the best way our Father sees fit.
