Sharing my encounter with Heavy Weigh, Jesus' promises and benefits of "I Will Give You Rest." Stuff and situations in life causes Heavy Weigh like unrest, worry, stress, insomnia and burdens. Visualize a person on their knees burdened with heavy weigh. I was lying in my bed and could not move because I felt heavy weighted. Jesus says in Matthew 11:28-30 (NIV) "Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I Will Give You Rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.'
Inspirational Blast: Heavy Weigh – “I Will Give You Rest”
Almost one year ago right after intercessory and personal prayer, praise as well as worship needing to hear from God. Needed to hear from God due to issues, too close to the situation and did not want to make matters worse. So I laid down quietly, waiting and saying in my mind LORD speak to me. I need to hear from You. At some point I felt pressure pressing down on me, unable to move. I mean unable to move. I felt the Heavy Weigh on me, tried to move and the body laid there unmovable. Finally I got it! The Spirit of the LORD was telling me to be still, to submit to Him. Then I heard the Spirit say, "Rest." In other words. "I will Give You Rest. I will" is a promise from God. His grace gives you and I rest/comfort without doing any work. Think of it this way, the gift of Salvation. Jesus' death on the cross for our sins. A one-time sacrifice for all mankind.
Yes Jesus has been given all authority by the Father. He speaks, "Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will Give You Rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Jesus' yoke is submission unto Him. This means to serve and obey the gospel of Christ as well as to trust God. Of course we are powerless without Christ living in us. We must meet the requirements in Ephesians 3:16-19 to include strengthen through God's Spirit, Christ dwells in our hearts through faith, we are rooted and established in the love of Christ. Then we benefit from Ephesians 3:20-21 "Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more that all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen.
We all are a work in progress. Our relationship with Christ is limitless and beyond our imagination. We must purposefully pray, praise and worship God. We must continually if able (mentally sound) thirst after His righteousness, study and mediate on His Word.
We pray this Inspirational Blast Heavy Weigh – “I Will Give You Rest" will inspire all those to “Come to Me (Jesus) that are Heavy Weigh because “I Will Give You Rest.” We must become submissive to Jesus because of His love and grace toward us; and we trust God. Therefore a massive exodus from Jerusalem into the wilderness that consisted of David and mostly all the people. In the people's travel there was a loud cry of weeping.
