Blog titled, GOD'S LOVE IS REAL focuses on Hosea known as a "Minor prophet." Not because his message is of no substance, because he continues speaking to us today. The All-Knowingly God knew before time Israel would "Turn their back" on Him. Yet because of His unfailing LOVE the LORD still led their escape out of Egypt. Think about the love of a parent. We still go the extra mile for our children too. The LORD warned Israel "Not to worship false idols." They sinned anyhow. We share GOD'S emotional pain, like us when hurt by those we love; the magnitude of God's love is demonstrated through the metaphor of a Marital contract; finally expression of GOD'S LOVE through His covenant (promise) for his people Israel; every believe and those to come to realize more and more that GOD'S LOVE IS REAL and inclusive.
You, I and most have felt like weeping or have wept which is an intense emotion over deep family or personal pain that seemingly too heavy, sad and/or unbelievable. While others may hold their emotions within but, most times the hurt appears in other ways like withdrawn, anger and/or substance use which is a temporary fix to make us feel "Good" or better. Therefore this blog reminds us of Jeremiah's message of judgment 7:29. God's wrath-anger had reached an "All times high." Judah's final hour to repent for their gross sins; then submit to God's judgement of ruins, destruction, captivity and exile by the Babylonians an unconditional (absolute) surrender that came to past. When thinking about "SURFING" I'm sure like me the ocean becomes your initial thought. Life is like the ocean filled with waves of ups to downs, THE BLUES. Therefore this blog is presented as a metaphor that includes constructive waves, the potential hazards of destructive waves or tides while SURFING; maneuvers and strategies of SURFING and most importantly the Superiority of Christ while SURFING THROUGH THE BLUES of life. We are to Praise the LORD for His mighty acts, power, authority, His suffering and death on the cross, deliverance, salvation, love, grace and mercy. We are to continue Praising the LORD in the midst of our pains and sorrows.
Giving Thanks/Thanksgiving demonstrates our gratitude for endless blessings to include harvest, family & prosperity. Moreover, I would be amiss for failing to acknowledge this holiday triggers depression, isolation & pain. This is the truth for those who have experience the death of loved ones & or other trauma events. The purpose of this article is to share a portion of history on Giving Thanks/Thanksgiving, mourning of the Wampanoag-Native Americans & grieving insight/help.
