Welcome to #YourDestiny, #YourBest Monday Morning Inspirational Blast: “Psalm 118 A Hallel or Praise—Halley’s Bible Handbook says, “118 was one of the Psalms sung by Israel's families after the LORD, Himself passed over their doorposts known as the Passover. He protected Israel from the final plague on the Egyptians prior to their deliverance out of Egypt. Then Psalm 118 was Jesus’ farewell hymn with His disciples leaving the Passover on His way to Gethsemane and Calvary. So we Praise the LORD for His mighty acts, power, authority, His suffering and death on the cross, deliverance, salvation, love, grace and mercy. We are to continue Praising the LORD in the midst of our pains and sorrows. Jesus was heavy-hearted in the garden of Gethsemane, but He was obedient to the will of God-His Father. Praise also gives us comfort and hope. Let’s Praise the LORD as we share portions of Psalm 118! “O Give thanks unto the LORD—Why? For He is Good, His mercy endures forever. Let Israel say so, Let us say so for His mercy endures forever! Let us fear-let us reverence the LORD for His mercy endures forever. We call upon the LORD in distress and He answers us. The LORD is on our side. Whom shall we fear? It is better to put our trust in the LORD, than to put our confidence in man.” The Psalmist talks about how nations rose up against him, but he declared “In the name of the LORD I will defeat them.” Why? Because he trusted in the LORD. Second Chronicles 20:15 “And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the Lord unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's. A word for us today in difficult times. Like the Psalmist and Jehoshaphat our hope and trust is in the LORD. Now the 24th verse “This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” Despite what we see or how we feel, our hope and trust is in the LORD! Everything that has breath, Praise the LORD! Continue to pray, comment, share and as always, #peace, #love, #hope, #blessings, #deliverance, #belief, #Salvation #meditate and #praise. #Neatbooks4u
