Welcome to Monday Morning Inspirational Blog, titled JUDGMENT, BUT HOPE. Moving through the Old Testament Book of Joel, the prophet. Introduction Joel had already warned Judah, the other half of God's chosen people to turn from their wicked ways. The "Chosen ones,' the inhabitants of the land failed to obey God's warnings through Joel. Some of their thoughts may have been of "Disbelief, the mind of a juvenile, God just playing, He has threaten us before and/or nothing happened. " We can relate to their possible thoughts since we have been there as a child to adulthood. "Yeah momma or dad threaten to take away a toy, the car or some other form of discipline. Yet they failed to make good on it. Or rules on the job continues to be broken without reprimand and/or accountability. Maybe we took them for granted like Israel did God. This blog highlights Judah's sin, judgment for failure to repent; mourning, the call to Repentance, Revival and HOPE which are relevant for todays' believer!
We believe Lamentations 3:22-23 that talks about Blog title, GOD'S GRACE & MERCY. Think about situations encountered-"the destroyer's" attempts to harm our body, soul and/or spirit regardless of how the condition (s) came about. The statement "Great is thy faithfulness" is to believe in God's daily grace and mercy includes His favor that also increases our unfailing belief. Not to overlook those experiencing unbelief. O My God! It's like an old saying, "If it's not one thing, it's another." Yet believe too that you are recipients of GOD'S GRACE & MERCY. Focusing on the grace, mercy and favor Daniel and his three friends received despite they were kidnapped from their home, Jerusalem, to live in Babylon. We will identify Daniel's strong belief in God, share ways to mirror his faithfulness as a way of life; his 3 friends faithfulness; and to ultimately reveal GOD'S GRACE & MERCY to increase yours' and my faithfulness. A must read!
We are to Praise the LORD for His mighty acts, power, authority, His suffering and death on the cross, deliverance, salvation, love, grace and mercy. We are to continue Praising the LORD in the midst of our pains and sorrows.
