Yet called a prophet by God to deliver a "Thus says message" of doom (disaster) and gloom (misery) with restoration to come upon repentance to the Northern tribes of Israel. Think about making you favorite meal or desert. The ingredients and seasonings must be right for the flavor, taste and look. You got to Stir it up, just right and know what and when to add. I'm not "The cook" but, know about taste. Therefore the Stirring has to be right to avoid lumps, poor mixing-poor tasting, the batter flops and the presentation is ugly! We know what happens after that. I remember when the family stopped me from bringing potato salad to gatherings. Nevertheless, not My will, but Yours, be done;" in addition to Christ's cup, our bitter cup and ways to remain focus on Good Works since we are CHOSEN by God for greatness—His Good Works!
