Our instructions to be strong in the LORD and the power of His might Ephesians 6:10. Continuing with verses 11-13 we are to intentionally “Put on the “Whole Armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”

Verse 14 “Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth.” In going into battle we should already girdle or tighten-up the loose fitting tunic with a belt to stand. The loose tunics are those stumbling blocks or obstacles that can get in the way like fear and doubt. Let us remember the truth of God’s Word such as, “I will never leave nor forsake you.” Verse 14b “And having on the breastplate of righteousness” is protection over the vital organs like the heart. There is no life without the heart. The heart is where the power, the Holy Spirit of Christ lives in us. Without the power of Christ living in us we are dead without life, a defeated foe.

Verse 15 “And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace.” In warfare we must go like the soldiers feet were and a continual vital role in warfare. Our feet in Christ are covered in the “Gospel of peace” to go and tell others about Christ’s love for all mankind, His death on the cross for the pardon of our sins that we did not merit, His resurrection from the dead and His victory over the power of evilness as described above, He still lives, lives in all who accepts Jesus as their LORD and Savior then lastly continues to be our present help.
