Everyone ought to know the story about Jonah, the Old Testament prophet that was swallowed by a "Big fish." So welcome to this Monday Morning Inspirational Blog titled, RUN BUT CAN'T HIDE. Reasons for Jonah's flee attempt like most of us relates to fear; then for many may include hate and prejudice towards others that are different from me and you. Jonah felt this way towards Nineveh, a foreign gentile city. They were unlike him since he was an Israelite. Thus Jonah chose and thought he could "RUN" from his God given assignment. Really like he could find a hiding place. Seemingly in his rebellion had forgotten God is everywhere at all times. Nowhere to hide. Read Psalm 139:7-12. Can you identify your "NEW LIFE EXPERIENCE" in Christ?" For many we grew up in the church. There was no option. We walked to Sunday School me and siblings all the way down 21st Avenue to avoid the traffic on 22nd Avenue. Back then that Avenue was only two lanes. Walking to the church was fun. Then crossing 22nd Avenue and cutting through the Elementary School we reached the church. Realizing it or not the church had a great impact on your life and mine. We learned the importance of church attendance and raising our children in the church-Good vibes. Our moms or those who took us to church intent was for us to have a foundation in Christ. This blog recognizes and honors the death of Jesus on the cross, His burial that leads us to the Resurrected Christ to the resurrected believer's "NEW LIFE EXPERIENCE" in the LORD and its meaning.

Introduction 1 Corinthians 13:11 "When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man or woman, I put away childish things." In remembrance of our childhood life journey to fully grown was filled with mothers, fathers, grandparents, uncles, aunties, neighbors, teachers, old ladies from the church and/or others' input that shaped your life and mine. Then fully grown was not subjective to age like 18 or 19 if still lived in parent's house. So for most, the childhood life journey was filled with scolding, whippings, "Go to your room" and more. Then depending on the caregivers' parenting style exceptions to the general or normal way of how "Black folks" raised children. "Whether we got it (the message) or not as well as how those experiences from happy to sad have influenced our lives…matters. Monday Morning Inspirational Blast "I CAN" not through my power, might nor strength! But according to Philippians 4:13. Just to note this letter by Paul is known as "The Epistle of Joy and Peace" that was written from prison to the Philippians' church. As believers we are the church and should represent Christ wherever we go. Probably amazing to many that Paul writes about having joy and peace while behind bars or lock-up. Most of us are not bound like Paul. Yet our minds maybe bound with troubles or we seems to be in bondage due to life and world conditions. Paul is telling us we/I CAN (making it personal) have joy beyond and above our situations." Therefore Blast focusing on the I CAN recipe or blueprint for the mind to stay focus on Christ producing joy and peace way above and beyond our circumstances. A must read.
