The RAPTURE is confirmed in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 “For the LORD Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the LORD in the air: and so shall we ever be with the LORD.” Many Bible scholars say the “Rapture will happen before the great tribulation and the 2nd coming of Christ will be 7 years after the tribulation.” Back to the eclipse. We received warnings of headline news and reports on the eclipse’s coming, how it would look in different parts of the world, when to look up and how to protect our eyes. We saw pictures of huge gatherings, schools gave instructions to the young, adults were prepared and young to old waited on the eclipse. Eyes were protected while looking, pictures were taken and posted. The eclipse was an unforgettable event that is over until the next time. We are back to “Normal” life for each individual and family. Now more on the Rapture. It is the “Raising of the church into heaven-those in Christ are resurrect from the dead first, then Christians that are still alive are caught up in the air with Christ. We are on the alert, excited, prepared--a continuous preparation for the Headliner “BE READY, BE READY, BE READY” the news reporter’s source of information and guide is the Holy Bible. The news reporter is the church. As believers we are the body of Christ. As newscasters we are responsible for spreading the “Good News” that Jesus lives, His love and compassion for us, His return for the church and we are to live according to the spirit not our flesh. Not our ways but God’s ways because 1st Thessalonians 5:1-8 says, “The Lord’s return will be like a thief in the night. No one knows the date or time, except the Father. Therefore when Christ returns we don’t want to be asleep. We must keep living and looking for the Rapture like folks did for the eclipse. Failure to BE READY, BE READY, BE READY has devastating consequences. Read Matthew 24. More on the asleep state. Since living in a world filled with distractions and pleasures let us remember, we are children filled with the Light of Christ. Therefore upon His return-it could be the next hour, next month, next year or it will certainly be when the Father says, “It is now the time.” So when Christ returns to take us to heaven with Him let Christ not find us asleep-- gambling in the casino, drunk, high, cursing, lying, causing havoc, stealing, fornication, hating on people, selfish and Hebrew 10: 25 says, “We are to fellowship with believers.” Let us not fall away from fellowship with other believers. Since COVID many stay home and have church on the internet. Then there are several signs of the End Times to be aware of to include earthquakes, diseases, war, dispute among nations, persecution against Christians are all signs leading to the Rapture. Read 2 Timothy 3:1-17, Luke 21:25-26, 1 Cor. 6:9-10). “BE READY, BE READY, BE READY.” We do not operate in fear, but in the power of love and a sound mind, because Christ lives in us. We thank You LORD for reminding us that You are alive in us and we are pilgrims just passing through Miami Gardens, Liberty City, Broward County, Georgia, the Carolinas, Jacksonville—wherever we live. Thanks for giving us opportunities to make sure we are not asleep if You appear while we are alive. Then LORD if our journey when You come is completed on this side of life, it is our hope that You will say to us like this lord said to his servant in Matthew 25:21. “His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
