(Saturday-Week 3)
Welcome back as we continue the Trump & Republican Saga. Let us be reminded many of societal ills to include corruption and hate were alive in America before Trump & his administration. Examples are police brutality and gerrymandering. The difference now is folks acts of hate and corruption are more blatant. Live evidences are witness daily on national television and through social media outlets. None-the-less Trump and his administration has and continues to unlawfully infiltrate governmental departments and constitutional processes. Again, we are reminded our fight is not carnal, it is not flesh and blood, nor human power. Our fight is against sin and evil—Satan, himself. Galatians 5:19-21 (NKJV) "Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance (dispute or controversy), emulations (stirring up/instigating), wrath, strife, seditions (rebellion), heresies (false teachings), envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings (excessive and boisterous) and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God." Second Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise (Jesus return to earth), as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering (gives us time) to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." In other words, America is a sinful nation. Men and women do "What seems right" to them based on ones feelings, desires and lust. One Dis-jockey on the radio would say "For the joy it brings." Yet, God has set a standard for daily and godly living. Of course, this is my opinion which is based on the Word. God is speaking to America. Second Chronicles 7:14 (KJV) "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." God has allowed Trump to shake-up and wake-up America from our comfort zone. Despite Trump and his administration continues to disserve America, he/administration is needed to fulfill God's promise to Israel. Psalm 105:8-15 (KJV) "He hath remembered his covenant forever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations. Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac; And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant: Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance: When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it. When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people; He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes; Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm. He has remembered His covenant forever, the word which He commanded to a thousand generations, the covenant which He made with Abraham, And His oath to Isaac. (Saturday-Week 2)
I believe God has allowed Trump to become the president to bring America back to its first love, which is Him (God). Despite America's guilt and shame of stealing the land from the Native Americans, slavery, racism, discrimination, injustice, corruption and more sin. Never-the-less, in America's court of law---we would swear by the Bible. (Paraphrase) "I solemnly swear on the Bible that I will speak the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth so help me God." "In God We Trust" is engraved on our money and daily prayer was in public schools. America has positive attributes, however focusing on the "Here and now" to better understand our current plight. America's seemingly lifestyle of righteousness, which is the light of Christ has been increasingly overcome by unrighteousness, the darkness of Satan which is sin and evilness. First Peter 5:8 "Be sober, be vigilant because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour." As surface believers in Christ which means not earnestly taking time to read the Bible, not earnestly humbling ourselves to God seeking a closer relationship with Him; and not earnestly praying to understand and internalize God's instructions for daily living. Maybe we are simply too busy and not enough time in the day. Therefore, as unawares we have normalized Satan's slick and smooth schemes of unrighteousness as an acceptable way of life. However, be encourage as we desire to increase a love relationship with our LORD. This occurs with persistent prayer and the reading of God's WORD. Then His heart is more sensitive to our concerns. (Saturday-Week 1)
Personally, it was disheartening to watch Trump's #Impeachment Trial. The Republican Party willfully #acquitted Trump despite the creditable evidence presented by the House and the Senate's power to subpoena witnesses. I needed some understanding and asked God, "What is going on?" He reminded me of Ephesians 12:6 "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against #principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against #spiritual #wickedness in high places." To increase our understanding another word for wrestle is to struggle. Flesh and blood represent human power. Therefore, our struggles and inability in understanding why the evidence, apparent common sense and moral standards were not applicable in this situation. In continuing to read and study the scriptures, I was reminded people's views, standards and actions are based on their upbringing, environment and culture. However, 2 Timothy 3:16 says, "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in #righteousness. The Republicans failed to demonstrate a righteous stance. Their righteous or a righteous disposition was overcome by evilness. This was orchestrated by Satan, the spirit of wickedness in high places; and Satan is also known as the "Prince of the power of the air" Ephesians 2:2. The Republicans yield to the #temptation of #sin. Their human power was weak and succumbed to their personal interest and party loyalty; oppose to a fair trial based on godly principles. Don't hate me, but like to add, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23.
